Madeleine Rouot

Madeleine is a PhD student in History at the University of Cambridge. She also holds an MPhil in Intellectual History and Political Thought from Cambridge. Her research interests focus primarily on the origins of the French liberal tradition in the thought of Alexis de Tocqueville and François Guizot. She is interested in the relationship between administrative and educational reforms in mid-nineteenth-century France. Madeleine has also worked for Les Echos and writes for Le Point.
