Joshua Zimmerman

Joshua D. Zimmerman is the Eli & Diana Zborowski Chair in Holocaust Studies and Professor of History at Yeshiva University. He previous books include Poles, Jews and the Politics of Nationality: the Bund and the Polish Socialist Party in Late Tsarist Russia, 1892-1914 (2004), and The Polish Underground and the Jews, 1939-1945 (2015), which appeared in a Polish edition in 2018. He is also editor of two volumes: Contested Memories: Poles and Jews during the Holocaust and its Aftermath (2003) and Jews in Italy under Fascist and Nazi Rule, 1922-1945 (2005). His popular articles, most recently on Ukraine and Poland, have appeared in the Washington Post, Politico, the Daily Beast, The Times of Israel, the Kyiv Post, Engelsberg Ideas, and Rzeczpospolita (Warsaw).
