Autocratie vs. Démocratie ? – Conference in Paris

29 May 2023

Dear Readers,

This coming week is an important one for Tocqueville 21 and our sponsors at the Center for Critical Democracy Studies and The Tocqueville Review. On June 2-3, The Tocqueville Society is hosting its annual conference at the American University of Paris. This year’s theme is Autocratie vs. Démocratie ? A new geopolitical landscape in France, Europe, and the United States? Speakers include Jan-Werner Müller of Princeton University and Pascal Ory of the Académie française, as well as Arthur Goldhammer, who needs no introduction here.

As the event will also be taking place on Zoom, we invite all of our readers to tune in and attend what is sure to be a wide-ranging set of discussions on these issues that have dominated our discussions on T21 since our early days. You can view the full schedule and consult additional information about the event here, register to attend, either in person or online, here.
