Aaron Tugendhaft

Aaron Tugendhaft is a comparative political theorist with a focus on the ancient Middle East. His previous books include Baal and the Politics of Poetry (Routledge, 2018) and Idol Anxiety (Stanford, 2011). A recipient of the American Oriental Society's Jonas C. Greenfield Award, he was a member of the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts at the University of Chicago from 2014 to 2018. He currently teaches humanities and directs the Science and Religion Project at Bard College Berlin.
