Johann Neem

Johann N. Neem is Professor of History at Western Washington University. He is author of What’s the Point of College?, Democracy’s Schools: The Rise of Public Education in America, and Creating a Nation of Joiners: Democracy and Civil Society in Early National Massachusetts. He is co-editor, with Joanne B. Freeman, of the recent volume Jeffersonians in Power: The Rhetoric of Opposition Meets the Realities of Governing.
